Basic Knowledge

"Medical stockings" support normalization of the blood flow and improve swelling and heavy feeling in the legs.

The blood conveyed by the artery should be returned to the heart through the mechanism of "venous return" but the decline of this mechanism due to prolonged standing work or perioperative or postoperative bed rest promotes accumulation of blood in the lower parts of the legs. Continuation of such conditions causes various symptoms, including swelling or heavy feeling in the legs, hot flushes and pain. ALCARE recommends the use of Medical stockings which gradually compress the legs, support venous return and improve the symptoms of poor venous return.

ALCARE offers blood flow support care to accomplish total care for venous return.

Compression & Gradation Care

Compression & Gradation Care is a concept of care which ALCARE proposes. It can be achieved by compression and continuous changes of compression gradation.

What are Medical stockings?

Our Medical stockings are designed to increase the external pressure applied by the stockings on the legs by adopting a special knitting technique which is completely different from the technique adopted for conventional stockings. This stocking enables improvement of venous return by gradually decreasing the pressure from the ankle to the thigh. They can be used to reduce any swelling or heavy feeling in the legs and support the during / after operation blood flow.
